Ron Rossini will demonstrate appropriate techniques for starting vegetables and annuals for the coming season. From container and soil selection to seed germination, this session will provide a basic introduction for the beginner as well as valuable tips for the seasoned gardener. You will have the opportunity to plant up a windowsill seed starter to take home and are encouraged to bring your favourite seeds. All tools and materials will be supplied.

Ron Rossini is a local realtor and a Master Gardener whose garden has been featured in garden tours and in various articles, including The London Free Press newspaper as well as in Ontario Gardening Magazine. It incorporates large vegetable gardens, rock gardens, water gardens (including a fish pond), herb gardens, tree and bush fruit gardens, rose gardens, lily gardens, as well as other extensive perennial and annual plantings. His yard is generously dotted with many handmade and other garden effects, including essential objects for attracting birds.

Unless otherwise stated, previous experience is not required to participate in seminars. Seminar tickets are not available online. Beverages are provided at our seminars and a light sandwich lunch is provided at all-day events. Please discuss any special dietary needs with the staff at time of registration. In an effort to reduce waste, we encourage you to bring in your own coffee mug and/or refillable water bottle. We require that you wear closed shoes (e.g. running shoes) to all seminars. Prices are subject to HST.
