WORKSHOP: Companion Planting with Herbs and Edible Flowers

Learn how to use companion planting to help control garden pests organically and keep your plants healthy for the growing season. Jennifer Grant, will also show you a number of the edible flowers you can grow in the garden and will share recipes as well as suggestions for how to use these flowers.

Jennifer Grant uses her nursing background, B.Sc.in Biology and horticulturist certificate to do horticultural therapy for long-term health care. For over 20 years, Jennifer has volunteered as a Master Gardener, teaching about organic gardening. Her country property, with its 1-1/2 acre English cottage-style gardens filled with water gardens, trees, shrubs, roses, clematis and perennials, also features an ornamental vegetable and herb garden. In her spare time, she writes articles and is a horticultural judge

Unless otherwise stated, previous experience is not required to participate in seminars. Seminar tickets are not available online. Beverages are provided at our seminars and a light sandwich lunch is provided at all-day events. Please discuss any special dietary needs with the staff at time of registration. In an effort to reduce waste, we encourage you to bring in your own coffee mug and/or refillable water bottle. We require that you wear closed shoes (e.g. running shoes) to all seminars. Prices are subject to HST.
