WORKSHOP: Attract Birds and Butterflies to Your Garden

Fri, 2012-02-03

Friday, February 3, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Flowers aren't the only colorful attractions in your garden. Ron Rossini will show you how to attract butterflies with native and non-invasive plants to create a sustainable garden for both your rooted and winged friends. In addition to being beautiful themselves, butterflies are also beneficial pollinators. Learn how to plan your garden to bloom for butterfly migrations in late August and early September.

Ron Rossini is a local realtor and a Master Gardener whose garden has been featured in garden tours and in various articles, including The London Free Press newspaper as well as in Ontario Gardening Magazine. It incorporates large vegetable gardens, rock gardens, water gardens (including a fish pond), herb gardens, tree and bush fruit gardens, rose gardens, lily gardens, as well as other extensive perennial and annual plantings. His yard is generously dotted with many handmade and other garden effects, including essential objects for attracting birds.
