Bring your homemade, homegrown, or locally foraged food to barter with others! A Food Swap is a place to trade your goodies for those that others have made or grown. Join us in Wortley Village for London's second Food Swap. Bring homemade preserves and baked goods, and fresh foods you have grown or foraged yourself. The only currency is food, no money allowed! Bringing some extra for sampling is encouraged so that people know what they are getting for their trade. It's kind of like a silent auction in that you walk around and look at all the wares out for trade and then write what you are offering to swap on the sheet next to each item. Writing your name down does not guarantee that you will get the item you bid on, everything must be negotiated between the 'vendor' and 'bidder'. This makes the community building aspect of the event even better!

Join us for a potluck before hand if you are able. And stay afterward to view the second installment of the BBC series The Victorian Kitchen Garden.
